Our Backstory
Momo was born approximately during February, 2021. Banri was born approximately during May, 2022.
Momo came home first, on October 2nd, 2021.
Banri came home on July 5th, 2023.
Our owner is named Vix! She is a Medieval History scholar and librarian working on her Master's in Library Science. She is a fan of anime and spends her free time in cosplay and going to conventions.
Our Namesakes
Momo (百) is a character from the anime IDOLiSH7 (アイドリッシュセブン).
Momo is the energetic, cute member of the Re:vale, an idol duo in the series. They have a "married couple" comedy act together, in which Momo is the ぼけ, the "idiot", of the pair, constantly making off-the-wall comments.Momo is someone who can make others happy just by being there. He is carefree and enjoys teasing his juniors, but is also remarkably kind and observant of his surroundings. He is intelligent and mature, which contrasts to his goofy on-stage persona. He is willing to go to great lengths to watch over others, sometimes at the expense of himself. He prioritizes and wishes to protect Yuki, caring for him the most.
Banri (万理) is also a character from the anime IDOLiSH7 (アイドリッシュセブン).
Banri is a calm and caring individual, he feels very much like everyone’s older brother. Banri does what he can to help behind the scenes, but for one reason or another won’t do anything that puts him even remotely close to the spotlight. He’s very invested in IDOLiSH7′s accomplishments, and confessed after IDOLiSH7 won the JIMA Newcomer Award that it felt as if his own dreams from long ago have finally come true.Spoilers ahead for IDOLiSH7: Banri was originally the other half of Re:vale with Yuki until an accident incapacitated him, stalling his career as a performer indefinitely. Banri went into hiding and allowed Momo to take his place as Yuki's partner. Now reunited with Yuki and Momo as a friend, Banri maintains a playful relationship with his ex and ex's new partner. Banri believes that Momo is the best fit for Yuki and supports the new Re:vale as a fan, while also still prioritizing the success of IDOLiSH7.

Hello! You can call me Vix. I am from Chicago, USA! I had three budgies growing up: Rudy, Sammy, and Judy. Recently, I lost Yuki to an incurable infection—you can see his memorial page here on this carrd.
Judy was my closest friend. I missed her terribly when she passed, and finally have the delight to own budgies again 11 years later. I am constantly learning about budgie care now that I am an adult. Momo and Banri live in a large flight cage fit for 4 budgies, but they spend most of the day every day flying in my room.

Everyone is so kind. I only know a little Japanese, and I am much better at Chinese. I am using Google searches to help me find the correct dialogue when I would like to use it. I want to interact with fellow bird owners from Japan, so sometimes I will try and type in Japanese. I apologize if it seems awkward at times! 🤭

In memory of our dear Yuki
Yuki was with us from March 2nd, 2022 until June 1st, 2023. He was Momo's partner, named after Yuki in IDOLiSH7.Yuki was a sassy, sneaky, and clever bird who would do anything for a nibble of millet. He was smart and intuitive, always first to brave new toys before Momo even realized that anything had changed!Yuki always had a weak immune system and caught multiple illnesses before one deadly fungal infection tragically took his life.We will never forget Yuki and all the joy he shared with us in the short year he spent in our care. Thank you to everyone who loved Yuki with us, and a special thank you to everyone who touched Mama's heart with your Gofundme donations for Yuki's ever-surmounting vet bills. Your love and compassion will never be forgotten.
Momo and Yuki (百と千) are characters from the anime IDOLiSH7 (アイドリッシュセブン).
Their idol group is known as Re:vale (リバーレ).
Yuki is the cool and collected member of Re:vale. He’s the ツッコミ, "the straight man" of the pair, interjecting Momo's jokes.Yuki easily laughs and loses composure, and has trouble with understanding other people's feelings. Despite that, he is sensitive and cares a lot about his friends. He has a passion for songwriting, which he uses to express himself. Even though he struggles to convey it verbally, he values Momo a lot and wishes to protect him.
